Welcome to Upcycled Creative – Cromford Mill

We are an award-winning business based in Derbyshire, specialising in hand-made, upcycled furniture and lighting.

Lee Richards is the founder and director of Upcycled Creative and has a passion for antique fairs and searching for original items. He started exploring upcycling in 2008.

Having spent 20 years in the motor trade Lee has gained experience in the sales, management and operations and in 2011 he decided to make a change and go into business for himself. A bold move, but positive and now a success story.

With a high regard for the ‘Environment’, Lee has combined his creativity with a desire to conserve some of our precious global resources.

Upcycled Creative became an #SBS Award Winner in February 2015, a business incentive on Twitter by the multi-millionaire and former ‘Dragon’ Theo Paphitis, which has lead to a number of beneficial partnerships, including one with the world’s largest logistics company DHL.

Inspired by his love of travel and culture, Lee has taken elements of his experience visiting other countries and has implemented them into his upcycled creations, in particular lighting and furniture.

With over 15 years’ experience working within legal, PA and administrative roles, together with her passion for photography and textiles, Michelle applies her professional skill set combined with her creative nature to provide Upcycled Creative with marketing support that gets noticed.
