Do remember that if you’d prefer to choose your own route which, for example, might mean being picked up from your accommodation then there are many options open to you (see below).

About The Car
Well, its a genuine 1929 Model A Ford “Phaeton”. It’s a robost car with a 3 litre engine. It comfortably seats 5 people (including the driver). As you’d expect it doesn’t have all the modern comforts and gadgets that a modern car does. There’s no radio, locking doors, air bags or electric windows.
It doesn’t have a heater either which is worth bearing in mind as it’s an open top car. You’ll be pleased to know that blankets are on board for your knees should the need arise.
It’s actually the only vintage car in the Uk which is licensed for Private Hire. It’s really worth taking a look at the promotional video on Vintage Adventure Tours website showing the car in actio.
Note: Whilst the car is inspected every 6 months by the Derbyshire Dales District Council for road-worthiness (it must pass the regulations for a car of this age which it does) it does not have seatbelts. Because of this, it’s not recommended for children under the age of 12.
The Driver and The Business
Your driver will be Steven and he and his wife Julie run the business together. They are based in the village of Winster in Derbyshire and have been since 2007.
