SINGING IN HARMONY – WALTON, CHESTERFIELD

Minerva started life in November 2015 with only 6 members. We began by singing for pleasure and to develop technique, with the guidance and inspiration of our Music and Chorus Directors.

Now we are 21 and have now developed a varied repertoire, suitable for a wide audience, which we believe demonstrates the well-blended harmony we set out to achieve. We prepare for 3 or 4 concerts a year, and are happy to support local good causes. Our aim is to convey the fun and friendship we enjoy together at rehearsals to our audiences in concerts.

Musical Director, Nigel Williams has considerable experience in a cappella singing. He arranges and conducts much of our repertoire and directs our voice coaching. Chorus Director, Janeen Parker skilfully leads our rehearsals and conducts in performances.

CAN WE SING FOR YOU?

We like to share our enjoyment of singing together by performing for others. If you are considering a possible concert engagement, please contact us, we’d be delighted to arrange a discussion.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN US?

Ladies, if you have some singing experience and might be interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you. You do not need to be able to read music. Sheet copies are available, although many members learn through audio learning tracks alone. Get in touch to find out more about Minerva and make an appointment to visit us.
